Changes

Where has the time gone? Grace is almost 3 months old! Which also means that I will have to go back to work. I have enjoyed every minute that I have spent with Grace and am very blessed to have gotten the extra time at home with her.
She is changing so much. Besides growing, she is responding a lot to our voices and responds with noises and smiles. Grace has started to sleep longer in the night and has even had 4 nights of sleeping all night.
Last weekend, was Graces' baby dedication at Grace Fellowship church. We dedicated ourselves to raise Grace in a Godly home. We also celebrated Grandma's 90th birthday.
We will continue to treasure each and every moment and change that happens. We love you Grace!

Happy 2 months!

Grace is officially two months old as of yesterday. With this milestone come many changes and new experiences for both mom and dad and Grace. She now responds very well to our voices. She will smile at us and "talk" to us. Grace can now follow a toy. She loves her cell phone that lights up and her glowing/singing sea horse (which we have named "Happy" since it makes her happy). Grace has graduated from her newborn things to bigger diapers and clothes.
We went for her 2 month check up today. She is weighing 9lbs 12oz. Grace also had to endure her first round of immunizations. She was a trooper!
We are loving every minute and every change. Thank you God for sending our beautiful daughter to us!

I am behind...

When I started this blog, I had the intentions of writing every week (if not more than once a week). I have fallen behind since Grace has arrived. I will try to be better. I am not sure how many read this but it is fun for me to document things that have been happening.
We have been busy. The holiday season brought many "firsts" for Grace. Here are some of them... George A. funeral, Aunt Katie's college graduation in the Quad Cities, many Christmas parties, first Christmas, Carl and Phoebe's wedding in Alsip, IL, first cold, stayed with Grandma Pam while we went out to eat on New Year's Eve, rolled over twice.
Grace has been such a trooper. She just "goes with the flow". I know that since she is 7 weeks old that that is what makes it easiest and that next year at this time, we will have a very active 1 year old.
We are enjoying every minute and loving being parents! Happy New Year!
